Where the hell have I been??

God, where do I begin? I've been so busy with other shit, I hate the fact I've neglected this blog.

So, I'll just try and sum up everything in point form.

- Sound Relief for the Bushfire Appeal raised $7million. Australian and international stars such as Kings of Leon and Coldplay took part in the duel concerts in Melbourne and Sydney.

- Former swimmer Grant Hackett and the fabulous Candice Alley have announced they're expecting twins. WOOHOO!

- Delta backed out of singing the national anthem at the Australian Grand Prix, claiming sickness only to be spotted later that night partying the night away. Hmmmm?

- New Idea issued an apology to Bec and Lleyton after they whinged and complained about some crappy article published in which it basically said that Bec was lonely and was having an affair with a mystery man. The mystery man turned out to be Bec's brother.

- Mel Gibson's wife filed for divorce.

- Former Hi-5'er Kellie got most of her gear off and posed for Ralph Magazine.

There's probably a lot more stuff that's happened, I just can't think of it off the top of my head at the moment.

Sound Aid - The Bushfire Relief Benefit Concert

There will be 2 concerts, in both Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday March 14th.

Kings of Leon have signed onto the Melbourne concert, while Coldplay will do Sydney. As well as, it will see Hunters and Collectors and Midnight Oil reform for the cause *squeal* (that's my inner bogan!)

Tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, March 4th at 9am via TICKETEK.

While the bushfires still rage throughout my beloved home state, it really hasn't made me feel like updating this blog. I think the whole of Victoria knows someone personally who's been caught up in the fires or knows someone who knows someone who's involved. Thankfully I don't know anyone personally who was caught in the fires, those I know who do live in that area had the common sense to flee and thankfully their house still stands, it's a shame the same can't be said for the 210 who have lost their lives and the thousands of homes that have been destroyed.

In what's been a pretty tragic couple of weeks for everyone, I look forward to the daily dose of Sam. For anyone who's been living under a rock, Sam is the world's most famous koala, and she rose to fame as the face of the animals who were injured during the bushfires. How can anyone's heart not melt with an image like this?

You can buy the above photo from The HERALD SUN ONLINE SHOP for $20AUD, all proceeds go to the CFA (Country Fire Authority). So far the pic has raised $30,000 and sold more than 15,000 copies, including 350 from overseas.

Brian Naylor killed in Victorian Bushfires

I know this isn't a "trashy" post as somewhat, but feel the need to vent and express shock at the bushfires that are ravaging my beloved home state.

So far, the total of deaths at 9am on Monday Feb 9th is 108, this includes 4 children and former ch:9 newsreader Brian Naylor and his wife Moiree, whose bodies reportedly were found together on their Kinglake West property.

He's the first "big name" person to have died in the fires and it's believed there could be more. His death by no means takes away from the others who have died, but hopefully, with a big name profile (at least where Victoria is concerned) it can bring some kind of positive message and outcome for everyone.

Delta Goodrem - Believe Again Tour Review

Sorry for lack of updates- had a blonde moment (well my brother did) and we went over the download limit for the month, which of course made the net seriously slow and made me utterly frustrated. As a result, I haven't had a chance to get around to writing a review/posting one.

DELTA GOODREM - BELIEVE AGAIN TOUR
Well I checked out the concert here in Melbourne a couple of weeks back and have to admit I was far more impressed with it than what I was expecting, considering the venue held like 5 people. Had fab seats, 5 rows from the front, right in the middle, couldn't get much better than that.

I do have to vent though, Delta fans utterly shit me, they're just so... I don't know... scary perhaps? freaks? morons? stalkers? Especially the fans off the Delta forum who seem to think that they're all BFF's with Delta, when in actual fact they're not. She should really tell some of them to piss off, otherwise I'm tempted to smack some of them in the face on Delta's behalf- especially that annoying bitch Tammy, who came down to the front during the interval looking for spare floor seats. Fuck off seriously and stop stalking Delta around the country. No one gives a shit that you're from Alice Springs or you have 497207 photos with Delta and that she knows your name. I don't need to see you strutting around like you're top shit either. That goes for all the freaks who swarmed Delta when she decided to come into the crowd. You don't ask Delta for photos in the middle of the song, don't pull out random things to be signed and don't start throwing yourselves at Delta and try and engage in conversation with her. OH! and for the love of god, don't come running down to the front to push in front!

OK... I think I have that rant out of my system.

First and foremost, I do think the smaller, intimate setting suited Delta a hell of a lot more than the arena, and for that I enjoyed this tour more than the 2005 "Visulise Tour"

Anyway, for me the main problem seemed to be a lack of focus and direction, sure it was a great concert and everything, but it felt like she was trying to do to much, cover too many bases and as a result it ended up in a hot mess. Queen of the Night and the Sweet Dreams/Predictable mashup was the definate highlight for me, not to mention the hilarious and craptastic dance breakdown during 'You Will Only Break My Heart', complete with the fabulous S2S as backup dancers/backing singers, which the videos I took on the night show:

Heath Ledger win Golden Globe Award

Last night (well yesterday if you're Australian), Heath Ledger won the Golden Globe Award for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" for his portrayal of the Joker in the Batman film 'The Dark Knight'

The award was accepted on behalf of Heath, by Chris Nolan, the director of 'The Dark Knight', which ended speculation over just who would accept the award.

Remembering: Angry Anderson and the Bat Mobile

Quite possibly the most memorable AFL halftime entertainment performance ever. This took place at the 1991 Grand Final out at Waverley Park, as the MCG was undergoing redevelopment. I really don't know where to begin, I think you just need to watch the video and see for yourself. Angry and Rob DeCastella sitting in the batmobile and wishing the Olympians good luck at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and good luck to Sydney in their bid for the 2000 Olympics.

It's after the speech has finished that the fun begins. The music starts,Angry takes the mic and screams out "MELBOURNE! LETS SHOW THE WORLD WHAT WE'RE MADE OF!... bound for glory!" If it's not the lack of singing ability by Angry it's the stunned and bewildered look on everyones faces at the performance. It's nice to see Rob DeCastella making an effort to rock out to Angry though. Shame the same can't be said for all the other athletes in their cars, people are either pissing themselves laughing, or looking like they'd rather be elsewhere. At least the Hawthorn and West Coast Eagles bogans rocked out to Angry like there was no tomorrow. "on this Saturday... we're... bound... for glory!"

The Hewitts have graced the front cover of the latest issue of 'OK' Magazine here in Australia, showing off the latest addition to the family. Baby Cruz. I couldn't give a shit about Cruz to be honest, it's all about Mia. How utterly adorable does she look?

Anyway, they speak candidly about Bec's pregnancy and labour, their hopes and aspirations for Cruz (they want him to play AFL) and that Christina Aguilera was the inspiration between Cruz's name, NOT Posh and Becks.

Australian Television to look forward to in 2009

The ever reliable Herald Sun has compiled a list of new trashy TV shows to look forward to in 2009, complete with some golden oldies that will be returning this year. Shows set to return will include Australian Idol, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and Sea Patrol among others. Freeview also kicks off this year with 15new digital TV channels, one of which will also be ch:10's 24hour sport channel. Bring on 2009 and trash TV galore!

Packed To The Rafters series 2, Seven Network
All cast members have signed up again including veterans Rebecca Gibney, Erik Thompson and Michael Caton. The series follows a married couple, Gibney and Thompson, who find themselves entwined in the lives of their three adult children.

Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, Nine Network
One of the most anticipated shows of the year. The second season is a prequel to the first hit series which told the stories of Melbourne's infamous gangland wars. The new series will follow the booming illegal heroin and marijuana trade of the 1970s and 1980s in Sydney and Melbourne.
It'll be based around the lives of two infamous drug lords, including Aussie Bob Trimbole, a marijuana and heroin dealer, played by Roy Billing. Trimbole was one of the country's most notorious gangsters and is believed to have organised the murder of Liberal politician and anti-drugs campaigner Donald Mackay in Griffith in 1977.

The other main character, to be played by Matthew Newton, will be Terry "Mr Asia" Clark, the head of a New Zealand drug syndicate, who was responsible for many deaths.

Masterchef Australia, Network Ten
Ten has high hopes for this reality TV series which will replace the long running axed Big Brother from May. Based on a British format, it will see amateur cooks compete to be crowned the country's 'masterchef'. The program will air six nights a week.

10 Years Younger in 10 Days, Seven Network
Hosted by Sonia Kruger, this show will aim to transform the appearance of couples. It'll look to update their grooming, fashion and beauty habits.

Project NEXT, ABC
Produced by respected talk show host Andrew Denton, the 10-part series will try to find the next bunch of original thinkers, movers, mischief makers and cage-rattlers. The program will then get them together to create an irreverent program about "serious things".

Australia's Hidden Genius, Network Ten
The program will give smart Australians the chance to turn around their lives.

Australian Ladette To Lady, Nine Network
The Australian version of this British makeover show will see a bunch of rough young Aussie women put through their paces at the UK's finest finishing school Eggleston Hall. The British version has been a ratings winner for Nine.

Recruits, Network Ten
This program will go behind the scenes as young men and women train to become cops at the NSW Police College in Goulburn. Ten has gained rare access into the college for this show to document the recruits' travels. It'll also follow fresh graduates on their first days on the beat.

Bondi Vet, Network Ten
Going behind the scenes of celebrity vet Dr Chris Brown's practice in Australia's famous beachside suburb of Bondi. It'll show him saving animals and blend in human interest stories.

Guerrilla Gardeners, Network Ten
Six young upbeat gardeners "with attitude'' will make over barren and concrete-filled spaces in Australian cities. Being touted as more entertaining than your average gardening show.

Undercover Boss, Network Ten
Bosses will go undercover working at the bottom levels of their companies. It will see them cleaning toilets, waiting and doing late shifts. During their undercover time they will seek to find a hard worker, a hidden talent.

Triple Zero Heroes, Seven Network
It will use original 000 emergency calls along with reconstructions and interviews to retell stories.

Local Heroes, Nine Network
This show will reunite and tell the stories of heroic Australians and the survivors they rescued.

Random Acts of Kindness, Nine Network
Karl Stefanovic, Scott Cam and Simmone Jade Mackinnon will host this feel-good show which will try to make dreams come true for "deserving'' Australians.

Missing Pieces, Nine Network
In much the same vein as rival Seven's Find My Family. this show will feature a team of experts tracking down missing family members.

Talkin' 'bout my Generation, Network Ten
This half-hour comedy panel show will pit generation against generation as they talk about a range of issues.

The Chaser's War On Everything, ABC
After a year off the screens, the Chaser boys - Andrew Hansen, Chas Licciardello, Julian Morrow, Craig Reucassel and Chris Taylor - will return for more laughs.

They'll have a new prime minister to poke fun at this time in the form of Kevin Rudd. Last time the boys were on the screens they created a storm for getting past security checks in a fake motorcade during APEC in Sydney.

Thank God You're Here, Seven Network
The comedy improvisation show is leaving Network Ten to air on its new home at Channel Seven. Shane Bourne will remain as host of the show, which features celebrities walking into an unknown situation and having to improvise. Seven has said they'll tweak the show, but no word yet on what that will entail.

John Safran's Race Relations, ABC
Controversial comedian Safran returns to the ABC for his globe trotting adventure. The eight part series will see Safran addressing controversial topics in his no-holds barred approach.

Toasted & Roasted, Nine Network
Australian celebrities toasting and roasting some big Australian names.

When I Grow Up, Nine Network
Hosted by Bert Newtown, the show will feature kids having fun.

Sunday Night, Seven Network
Seven's new current affairs program will go head to head with the popular 60 Minutes on Nine. Rumoured to be hosted by Natalie Barr. Reporters are yet to be announced.

1. Tamara Jaber: Ooh Aah
THERE'S so much wrong with this record. Firstly the lyrics: Jaber, who was discovered in Popstars flop stars Scandal'us actually sings ‘‘Ooh aah, I lost my bra, I left it in my boyfriend's car'' and ‘‘Boys are rotten made outta cotton, girls are sexy made outta Pepsi''. Inspiring stuff. Then there was the nepotism factor. Jaber's song and big-budget video were paid for by boyfriend (now husband) Kyle Sandilands, who released it on his King Kyle record label. Why? Because no one else wanted it. Her album is still to surface and the only person who played this song on radio was - surprise surprise - Sandilands. Conspiracy theory: either someone's removed this song from YouTube or no one could be bothered putting it up.

2. Jacko: I'm an Individual
MELBOURNE'S singing footballer Russell Robertson sounds like Frank Sinatra compared to Jacko, who didn't let let a total inability to sing burden him. This 1985 hit is surely the only time the phrase ‘‘inda-bloody-vidual'' has been heard in a recording studio. Impressively the follow up, Me Brain Hurts, is even worse. To think that his manager at the time, Terry Blamey, would go on to steer the career of Kylie Minogue.

3. Warwick Capper: I Only Take What's Mine
BLAME Jacko. A jealous Capper hit the studio after seeing I'm an Individual become a novelty hit. Capper busted out the tight shorts for the video but even they didn't help him hit the high notes in this diabolical song. Or any notes for that matter.

4. Noeline Donaher: No Regrets
SOMEONE had the bright idea of using three of Noeline Donaher's 15 minutes of post-Sylvania Waters fame to record a cover of the classic. Except she couldn't sing and it sold by the thimbleful.

6. The Vaughans: Who Farted?
THIS novelty hit stinks in so many ways. The kind of record polluting second hand stores across the land.

7. Lee Harding: Wasabi
HE was the ‘punk' of Australian Idol who ditched his band for the TV show. It wasn't a good year for Idol - this was the season that inflicted Kate DeAraugo on us. Harding came third but somehow made No.1 with this teen-punk-by-numbers turkey that rhymed ‘‘tsunami' with ‘‘army''. He now resides in the where are they now? file. Along with DeAraugo.

8. Bruce Samazan: One of a Kind
FOR a few minutes everyone on TV show E Street tried putting a record out. This ended it all. His rap makes Britney's ex Kevin Federline sound like Jay-Z.

9. Stefan Dennis: Don't It Make You Feel Good
EVERYONE else from Neighbours was releasing records, so Stefan Dennis tried it too. Bouncer would have done a better job.

10. Skyhooks: Jukebox in Siberia
SKYHOOKS wrote some amazing singles. This isn't one of them. Their comeback was brief after this and the equally terrible Happy Hippy Hut. Not the way the band, or Shirley Strachan, should be remembered.

11. Dave and the Derros: Nice Legs, Shame About the Face
PUB rock novelty hit that was really all about the title. The follow up was Up Your Nose With a Rubber Hose.

12. The Whitlams: Chunky Chunky Air Guitar
SOMETIMES you can judge a book by the cover; this was left off the band's recent best of compilation so as to not contravene the Trade Practices Act.

13. Joe Dolce: Shaddap You Face
DEBATE rages over whether this - one of the most successful Australian songs ever - is pop genius or insanely annoying. Try listening to it ten times over.

14. Rus Le Roq: I Want To Be Like Marlon Brando
RUSSELL Crowe under an early alias; he'd later commit musical crimes as part of Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts.

01. Vanessa Amorosi - Perfect 'Ness Ness' made a spectacular comeback early this year with a rockesque type ballad in 'Perfect'. The song was flogged on radio, which just prompted me to turn the radio up louder and sing along in the car. Also was lucky enough to see Vanessa live earlier in the year and she brought the house down.

02. Dannii Minogue - Touch Me Like That Poor Dannii, the girl just can't win. I don't know what's wrong with Australians and their lack in support for 'Superior Minogue'. People should've just bought the single for the sole purpose of knowing that Dannii and lipstick lesbians writher around in latex! Jokes aside, the song is a killer dance track and Dannii deserves more recognition!

03. Axle Whitehead - I Don't Do Suprises I'm kind of suprised I have Axle so high up, but just listening to the song is WOW, I'm so glad he whipped his cock out at the ARIA's a few years ago so he could return to music. I wasn't his biggest fan on Idol... sure he was ok, but I wanted Shannon to win oh so desperatly. Anyway, I recommend people check out this underated gem.

04. Jessica Maoboy featuring Flo Rida - Runnin Back Does anyone even actually know how "Baby Jess" managed to score a rent-a-rapper from America on her single? Either way, the result was orgasmic and 'Baby Jess' has come along way since being runner-up on Idol a few years back.

05. Delta Goodrem - Edge of Seventeen OK OK OK I know this wasn't a single and technically was the I-tunes Bside to 'I Can't Break It To My Heart' but I still love it anyway. A cover of the Stevie Nicks track, intertwined into a medley of Delta tracks, including 'Believe Again', 'Innocent Eyes' and 'I Don't Care'

06. Kylie Minogue - The One X was a pretty crap album overall and stuff, but I think that 'The One' was by far the best single that Kylie released off a shithouse album. It's a shame, because live the tracks from X translate really well.

07. Sneaky Sound System - Kansas City It's no match for 'UFO', but the song still goes off. Make sure you check out the video in which the fabulous Miss Connie features as a puppet version of Dorothy from 'The Wizard of OZ'

08. Melissa Tkautz - I Want Your Love This is just pure trashy fun at it's best, shame the video was utter shithouse.

09. Rogue Traders - What You're On I'm still asking myself what Nat Bass is on now that she's buggered off and left the Rogue Traders... she'll be back within a few years after her solo career flops in spectacular style.

10. The Veronicas - Take Me On The Floor The Veronicas can do no wrong and the only reason why I went for this over 'Untouched' is for the fact that the song featured in ch:7's adverts promoting the latest season of 'Dancing With The Stars'. There's something spectacular about watching Toni Pearen strutting herself down a corridor somewhere within the ch:7 buildings to The Veronicas

First off, what kind of "celebrity" would fly Jetstar and then whinge and complain that her bags are over the baggage limit.

Yes, good old Carla Bonner or as most people know her as "Stephanie Scully" caused a scene at Melbourne airport this week when she threw a tantrum because Jetstar staff refused her to board a plane as her carryon luggage was over the limit. And rightly so. Limits are there for a reason darling.

Anyway, I had quite a giggle over the thought of her throwing a hissy fit. I wonder if she pulled out the "Do you know who I am?!" line. Although I kind of feel sorry for her that her romantic getaway to Newcastle or wherever it was ended up being cancelled, but still...

As sad as it is, I'm going through a Scott Cain revival at the moment, so in all seriousness, lets begin shall we?

Scott Cain was the third winner of Australian Popstars. Like his predecessors Bardot and Scandalous, he was doomed for failure, all though "I'm Moving On" is quite the popstastic gem, unfortunatly for him he was moving on down towards the bottom of the charts!

However, my favourite moment in Scott's short-lived career is his ode to Hilary Duff, in which the Duffster's lookalike looks more like Britney!

Truly, the lyrics are pure genius, and seem as though they were written by a 10yo, yet somehow kind of seem almost stalkerish...

Can't get enough of that wonderful Duff!

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few weeks. To be honest, I haven't been bothered.

I'll begin with my latest celeb pics, which were taken at the Vanessa Amorosi gig which I went to a few weeks back. Ness rocked out and I seriously want to go again. I almost had multiple orgasms at meeting Molly Meldrum too. For a faghag like myself, I often get moist at the encounters of gay icons.

And Vanessa is love too. If you haven't had a chance to check out her tour, I urge you all to do so, because she knows how to rock it. Be prepared to wait like 2hours for her to get on stage, by the time she came on it was after 10pm and I was ready to throttle someone.

BABY NEWS!

I'm so excited by this news. My favourite girl, Bec Hewitt has announced she's knocked up again! YAY for Bec n Mia. I couldn't give a shit about Lleyton honestly, it's all about the girls. I'm so excited for Bec, I LOVE her. Anyway, bubs will be due in January, so Mia is going to have a little brother or sister. I just hope that bubs doesn't arrive mid-way through the Australian Open!

Also, Nicole Kidman has given birth to baby Sunday Rose... poor kid, I imagine she'll get teased once she starts school.

Kylie will be hitting Australian shores in December for a bunch of concerts. Also, Delta's supposed to be touring in November. I just wish the girls would hurry up and announce dates!

TERRI WINS BIG BROTHER 2008!
Personally, I despise BB, yet I do find myself watching it on occasions, usually during Home and Away adbreaks, and have fallen in love with Grandma Terri, obviously Australia did to, as she walked away with the $250,000 prize money.

Last night I was celebrating as it was the final ever BB, thankfully it won't be returning next year. WOOHOO!

A BIG bronze statue of Nick Cave might soon look down on Warracknabeal, just like the rock singer.

While mocking his birthplace as conservative and strangely lawless, Cave has long sought a statue.

The one he favours would show him bare-chested on a rearing stallion.

And after a new approach to the council, what seemed like a joke is gaining traction.

The council says it will look at the proposal and dares him to go the whole hog and build a 50m-high Nick Cave with a viewing platform.

Cave, famed for fronting seminal rock bands the Birthday Party and the Bad Seeds, has told a local paper he has already invited celebrity friends to the unveiling.

"Russell Crowe, my mate, has promised to attend," he told the Wimmera Mail Times by email. "Snoop Dogg, a rapper, says he'll come if they let him into the country.

"Kylie Minogue said she wouldn't miss it for the world; she even promised to wear her gold lame hotpants."

Yarriambiack Shire Mayor Andrew McLeod said the statue could be an added tourist attraction to the town.

Mr McLeod said the town, population 2600, had "a dry creek bed and a few dry lakes" for attractions.

He said the town wouldn't pay for a statue but "if he's internationally known, you'd say he'd be making more money than me".

Cave said the Warracknabeal statue would make Gundagai's Dog on the Tuckerbox pale by comparison.

He wants it on a roundabout, but the only one spare is earmarked for a statue of a dingo and her pups.

"I ask you, what could be more indigenous to Warracknabeal than me?" Cave complained to the paper. "I was bloody born there."

Shire chief executive Ray Campling said latest indications were that the Cave camp was serious.

"Why not go the full hog and erect a 50m statue of Nick riding a horse?" he said. "You could have a tourist information booth and people climbing up the horse's neck and viewing out of the nostrils."

CHANNEL Nine's attempt to resurrect Eddie McGuire as the nation's premier TV game show host has come a cropper. Find out what happened here

Channel Nine's attempt to resurrect Eddie McGuire as the nation's premier TV game show host has come a cropper. Badly.

The McGuire-hosted 1 v 100 has failed miserably, with the game show pulled from its Friday evening timeslot after just two episodes.

The program was shown in Melbourne, while Sydney and Brisbane have the NRL on in that timeslot.

Nine had little choice but to yank the game-show from its schedule when it attracted just 199,000 viewers in his hometown of Melbourne last Friday.

It will be replaced with back-to-back Motorway Patrol - a New Zealand reality series about highways.

Nine had hoped to use 1 v 100, which has been on hiatus since 2007, to spearhead its bid to erode Channel 7's Friday night dominance.

But the game show was belted by Better Homes and Gardens, Seven's highest rating program of the week, with 408,000.

"It was only there to fill a hole," McGuire said of 1 v 100.

"We didn't do any publicity for it. It went as well as you could expect."

With 1 v 100 on the scrap heap and his week-long stint filling in for Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair over, McGuire said his next step would "all be announced in good time".

He laughed off rumours that he was leaving Nine to take over from Daryl Somers as host of Dancing With the Stars on rival network Seven.

"It's not what you would expect a Channel 9 person to be doing is it?" he said.

"Unless it was coming to Channel 9 I can't see that happening.

"I am not doing Big Brother either, so let's get that out of the way."

He said he would not be returning to host the AFL version of The Footy Show, as some had suggested.

"It already has two hosts and the only person missing at the moment is Sam (Newman) and I can't see myself doing that," he said.

1 v 100 is the latest in a long line of new game shows to flounder on commercial television in recent years.

The Power of 10, also on Nine, was axed after just two episodes. The Rich List, fronted by Andrew O'Keefe on Seven was pulled from Saturday nights when it didn't rate and much-hyped National Bingo Night was a flop. Ten's ConTest hosted by Andrew G was also a failure.

Delta's bizarre sign of affection

It brings new meaning to a Love Spat, but Delta Goodrem and Brian McFadden revealed on Austereo this morning that they spit in each other’s faces as a sign of affection.
I’ll let that sink in for moment.

What started as a call-in segment about whether it is ever appropriate to spit in the street, ended shattering the wholesome image of Our Delta.

As the Adelaide morning crew merrily chatted and took calls about how gross public spitting is, guest Brian McFadden offered up his own story.

When he and Delta were courting and driving through Europe, they had a spitting game.

Delta would start it by casually lobbing a small load of spittle on Brian’s face. He’d return fire and the game would escalate until they were covered in phlegm.

“It was a sign of affection,” he told listeners.

Obviously someone in the morning crew thought this was just too far out, so they called Delta.

Yup, she giggled and confirmed the story. Oh the laughs. It was their very own quirky way of showing affection to one another.

Sure they still had the ‘sweetie’ and ‘darling’ and ‘honey’ and were laying it on during the phone exchange, but nothing topped the beatific image of Our Delta with a face full of gob.

Maybe I’m a bit squeamish. I shudder when I see people sucking each others face in public. A kiss is fine, sure, but when I see a couple on a train working their tongues, I just feel a bit Sunday Morning.

Then again, I don’t like hearing people’s little terms of endearment either. A colleague of mine broke off his engagement when his fiancé persisted with the schnookums and constant name rhyming in a baby voice. He went up in my estimation after that.

I’ll leave the question of whether Delta and Brian’s sign of affection has merit, but also seek any other revolting signs of affection between couples that makes you want to hose them.

Tania Zaetta wins public apology over sex claims

DEFENCE chiefs have issued a humiliating apology to entertainer Tania Zaetta after rumours were spread that she had sex with Diggers during a goodwill tour.

Both the chief of defence, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, and Defence Secretary Nick Warner admitted that the organisation had mismanaged the controversy.

It began when a memo that contained sex claims was distributed to 96 people.

It was recalled four minutes later and the names removed.

Ms Zaetta has emphatically denied the rumours.

Rocker Angry Anderson, who was also on tour, has flatly denied claims he was the source of the allegations or that he had any knowledge of them. "I don't know where that came from," he told the Herald Sun last month.

A government source said the allegations had been made to Lt-Col Greg McCauley, who was commanding officer of the tour, and he is said to have immediately reported them.

During Senate Estimates hearings in Canberra yesterday, the head of defence public affairs, Brigadier Andrew Nikolic, admitted that the brief was distributed to more than 90 people.

Air Chief Marshal Houston told the hearing he was "absolutely appalled" by the scandal.

"I will obviously apologise and express my deep regret about any hurt she has suffered," he said.

"It was not well handled by us. I was absolutely appalled that the names were put out . . . and I regret the whole thing," he said.

Aussie Entertainer Tania Zaetta is under investigation by the Defence Department after an accusation that she had sex with Australian Soldiers during a 17-day concert tour of an Australian base in Iraq. Zaetta, also a Bollywood actress and former co-host of 90’s TV show Who Dares Wins, has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “hurtful and ridiculous”.

In promoting the tour, Zaetta is quoted as saying “I’m single at the moment, and there has been a lot of teasing that I am going into a very male dominated place where they haven’t seen girls for a long time.”

But of the accusations labelled in the Defence brief the star told News Limited, “That is the most ridiculous story I’ve ever heard about my life – and I’ve heard plenty over the years in this industry”.

She added, “it takes the cake. I’ve just done this most amazing life-changing experience, been to the most unbelievable places and for this to be said, it’s very hurtful.”

The Defence Department faces further embarrassment over the issue after it was revealed that they broke privacy rules by naming the Aussie star in their high level brief to Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon. The brief document included an unsubstantiated claim that the star had sex with special forces officers during the tour of the Australian Base in Tarin Kowt, and that the claim was apparently made by another Aussie touring with her, Angry Anderson.

According to News Limited, the Aussie rocker has denied making the sex allegations, saying that he was not “personal or petty dislikes, particularly when it could hamper or have a detrimental effect on a tour.” He went on to say while he doesn’t know Zaetta very well, as far as he was concerned, she “conducted herself in a very professional manner.”

The Defence Department says that tour personnel were briefed on its no fraternisation policy prior to the tour and it’s investigations will seek statements from all those involved.

VANESSA Amorosi could be Melbourne's own Frank Sinatra - a favourite performer of the mob - as The Shine songbird revealed she's sung at many underworld parties.

She performed at the $150,000 christening of convicted murderer Carl Williams and ex-wife Roberta Williams' daughter, Dhakota, at Crown five years ago.

"It was absolutely amazing," she told Nova radio yesterday.

"They had a room in the casino all done up.

"I remember at some point in the night during the show thinking no one will get up and dance and if I start singin' bad I'm just gonna get shot."

For Amorosi, who's most recent gangland gig was another christening on a boat cruise on the Yarra, it seems it's good being married to the mob.

"They spoil me rotten - I love it," she said. "They're the only clients that want you to eat and give you wine and are constantly catering and looking after you.

"I'm not used to this in showbiz. Usually it's like Amorosi and the band are here, take them to that room, get rid of them, hide them."

But Amorosi admits the arrangement could be up with only one bad performance.

"I was like, 'Let's make sure it's a killer show, guys, or it could be a killer ending'," she joked.

Daryl Sommers steals DWTS Logie

Daryl Somers has reportedly kept the Logie awarded to Dancing With The Stars as a souvenir, much to the horror of Channel Seven who fear they will never get it back.

Somers gladly accepted the award for most popular reality program, despite quitting the show in November last year.

He has since taken the silver trophy home — and his former employer Channel Seven fear he might hold onto it for good, News Ltd reports.

Somers sensationally quit the hit show after seven seasons last year, claiming he needed a change of direction.

He has already won three Gold Logies, and a multitude of silvers, in his 37 years of television.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry has reportedly lost his own Logie after a night of celebratory partying.

Curry, who claimed the most outstanding actor award for his role as Graham Kennedy in The King, reportedly lost his statue at a private party in a hotel room and is yet to recover it.

Kylie chucks in the towel on cracking the American market

In Europe and Australia, Kylie's seen as pop royalty, she's sold millions of albums, and a career in the entertainment industry spanning more than 20 years. Even so, it seems like none of this is good enough for the Americans. Countless TV interviews and performances, Kylie's latest album still only managed to sell 6000 copies. A massive flop, something Kylie is not used to, especially considering it stalled at 139 on the Billboard charts.

Seems now, there's nothing left to do but for Kylie to focus on her Kylie X 2008 World Tour, in which she snubs her home country of Australia.

It is nice to know that while Kylie is prepared to snub her home country, Dannii's back in OZ making the most of it. Could this be the end of Kylie and the rise of Dannii? As much as I love me some Kylie I've been utterly dissapointed with the whole X-era. I've been more excited than a shitty album of recycled Dannii tracks and mixes than I am about an album full of new stuff from Kylie. If only Dannii could have some of the chart $ucce$$ that Kylie's had over the years :(

Jess has caused a scene this week at the Sydney fashion festival snuggling up to lestastic MTV host Ruby Rose. It's not the first time either, the pair caused a scene earlier in the year at some other function where they both made out in the corner. According to reports, once the girls noticed they were being watched they put on more of a show. I hope there were chants of "we love lesbians" Jerry Springer style.

Naomi Robson set for TV comeback

YAY for Naomi!

I so can't wait to see this. Naomi will be returning to our screens on May 18th, hosting/narrating the new TV show Surf Patrol on ch:7. No idea what time this is as of yet, but considering it's a Sunday night, perhaps it will follow Gladiators?

Either way, I'm expecting this to be car-crash TV, as Naomi attempts to convince us that she's this sweet and caring person, and seriously who wouldn't believe her with quotes like this!

"I love the beach but am scared of deep water,'' she said.

"I remember being at Sorrento back beach when I was a kid and there were no flags out. I was at the water's edge and this freak wave came out of nowhere and dragged me into the water and my whole family had to jump into the water to get me. I was absolutely terrified.

"It reminds you how lucky we are to have surf lifesavers. They protect and look after us and are real heroes."

OLYMPICS darling Nikki Webster has thrown a massive on-air wobbly at the wrong radio duo for sending up her rent-a-crowd 21st birthday party.

The former child star blasted Triple M's Wil Anderson and Anthony Lehmann, but their drive-time rivals, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, should have been on the receiving end of the tantie.

Webster rang a confused Anderson and Lehmo on Tuesday to complain.

"So you thought you'd take the p--- the whole afternoon," she said.

"I was driving along and I thought, 'Oh my God, they're talking about me'. I'm kind of flattered that you're trying to find someone for my birthday."

Anderson replied: "This is a bit awkward, a bit weird. We'll have to sort this out off air."

Webster came of age yesterday, but is celebrating tomorrow night with a bash in conjunction with OK!.

The glossy mag has sent out invitations to talent managers Australia-wide asking if any of their clients would like to attend the event.

On Tuesday, Lee and Blake challenged each other to see who could lure the best guest with a fictional $1000 appearance fee.

Posing as PR reps, Blake secured the services of reality TV pin-up Krystal Forscutt through her agent Harry M. Miller, while Lee locked in rocker Jimmy Barnes via his management, IMG.

"Jimmy Barnes is in Thailand as well, so you know," the popette ranted.

"He was going to come, but thanks for doing my dirty work for me."

The penny dropped when Webster said her party conflicted with Friday's Logies Spit Roast - an event held each year by Blake and Lee.

Seeing her error, Webster updated her Facebook status later in the day: "Nikki can't believe Hamish and Andy spent a whole segment on the show trying to find people for my party."

I have become incresingly addicted to "My Kid's a Star". I love how these poor deluded parents think that by some stretch of the imagination that their kids can become famous.

On last week's episode there was a guest appearence by the Veronicas, which had one of the female teenage contestants orgasming on the spot. I got the feeling she was a huuuuuuuuuge fan. And then tonight Allysa-Jane Cook appeared giving the kids acting tips. It's hard to keep a straight face while watching this program, especially with Cameron Daddo hosting. His career went down the shitter rather quickly. What a fall from grace. I remember when he had a huge American career in front of him, having scored a gig on Melrose Place or Models Inc or something or other. At least he never had to appear in a Zoot Review ad or a Jo Beth Taylor video like his brothers though, so I think we can forgive him for that.

I'm also loving Gladiators. Although it seriously lacks Mike Whitney and Tania Zaetta. The hilarious thing is trying to watch Olympia be bitchy. I don't think Tatiana has a bitchy bone in her body. Having said that, I read with great amusment this morning in the Herald Sun that the organizers of the awards are trying to setup a reenactment of the infamous Madonna/Britney pash at the MTV Awards in 2003! Only this time it'll be between everyone's favourite MTV VJ Ruby Rose and Jess from the Veronicas! Hmmmmm, we all know that they've both already been there and done that last month when they got pissed and pashed at the Cleo Batchelor of the Year after party! Surely they organizers could find 2 new people to engage in this?

Who Killed Sam? Part 2

Well last night poor Martha was arrested! They just can't do that, despite evidence that suggests otherwise. We all know Martha would never do such a thing!!!

Anyway, last night some forensic evidence came back, so the note was written on a pad from Martha's place (well actually it's not Martha's place, it's Roman's and I'm sure he referred to it as Martha's place!) and a random strand of Martha's hair was found in Sam's car. Again, this kind of doesn't prove a thing, as the hair could've been on someone else and fell off the clothing by the real person who planted the note.

I'll be interested to watch tonight, but either Sam wrote the note herself (well she WAS upstairs when Martha sprung her in the apartment) and swiped some of Martha's hair (ewwww) and planted it all in the car to set Martha up, or it was all Roman's doing. He killed Sam, then wrote the note, but had some of Martha's hair on his clothing which came off when he planted the note.

Or perhaps Sam and Roman are/were somehow involved together and the death was an accident?

Dannii's Diary from the Great walk to Beijing walk

Well...This Is It. I am embarking on a life changing journey that involves Cancer - but this is the first one I have chosen! I have had family and many friends who have survived this disease, and two dear friends that I have lost. Cancer seems to be more and more a part of everyone's life. Why? - I want to scream as loud as I can.

Everyone taking part in Great Walk to Beijing is on a personal mission - survivors, medics and others like me who have seen in close quarters this devastating illness.

Two flights from Melbourne I end up at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Beijing. After checking in and meeting a few of the team, we hear a famous Jamaican called AJ singing in the lobby...but opera! It wasn't exactly what I was expecting to hear on my first visit to China....but it was "a yes from me" - this guy moves us with his vocal ability.

I ask him if he will join us on the walk, come meet Olivia and sing for her too. Apparently the wheels are in motion for AJ to meet us on the wall - so before I have even made my first sponsored steps, I have recruited a random.

A welcome nights sleep in a bed that is like a cloud, then we are up early to depart Beijing - a city of 16 million people with smog thick enough it cuts the view of the sun.

Our first flight lands in Xian. We touch down briefly enough to reboard a flight to Jiayuguan. We are now in Western China in a desert city that seems positively deserted.

After two days of non stop travel, I am over air transport and can't wait to get my walking boots on a ‘Get physical'!

Shane Warne gets a small dose of karma

Cricket legend Shane Warne has crashed his luxury Mercedes into a Melbourne tram — and a local man caught it on camera.
Warne was travelling through a roundabout at Middle Park, in inner Melbourne, about 5pm yesterday when his black Mercedes crashed into the 112 city-bound tram.
Video footage of the incident was captured by local resident Tim Rose and obtained by National Nine News

Mr Rose said he heard the tram's bell ring from his nearby flat followed by the sound of screeching brakes and then a loud crash.
"I was just filming my three-month old boy Toshan and heard the ding, ding, ding and the crash," the Daily Telegraph newspaper quoted him saying.
"That's when I looked up and saw Shane Warne's car, the Mercedes, spin out of control.
"He brought it to a halt, just missing a car that was parked."
Mr Rose's own video footage records his surprised reaction when he discovers the driver's identity. "I think it's Shane Warne," he says after zooming in on the accident scene.
Warne is seen exchanging details with the tram driver and giving him an autograph.

"He spoke to the tram driver, gave his autograph and drove off," Mr Rose said.
A spokeswoman for Warne confirmed to The Age newspaper the cricketer was involved in a crash where a "tram ran into the back of him".
But a Yarra Trams spokesman told the newspaper that trams have the right of way on roundabouts.

Mr Rose, a Hare Krishna devotee, said he plans to sell shards of Warne's broken brake lights on an online auction and give the proceeds to a Krishna food charity.
There was no damage to the tram and no one was injured in the incident, but it did result in a five-minute delay for trams on the 112 route.

Appreciating: Bec Cartwright's stunningly poptastic album!

I admit it. I'm not afraid to say that I love myself some Bec Cartwright! This album is totally poptastic, 3 smash-hit singles were released from this CD, and honestly it had the potential to be so much more. As a result, I wanted to take this oppertunity to upload the album for you so you can all appreciate this little gem. I believe the CD is out of print, hence my uploading of the CD, however if it turns out that it IS still in print, then I am quite happy to remove the link.

It was released in Australia on June 16th 2003 and featured the 3 smash-hit singles All Seats Taken, On The Borderline and A Matter of Time. My personal favourite on the CD however is the popalicious "Drive By" which I think is criminal it wasn't released!

The videos were equally poptastic All Seats Taken featured Bec dancing around a bowling alley, On The Borderline looked like a scene out of BMX Bandits or something, and A Matter of Time, which is my personal fave shows Bec wandering around Sydney Airport looking lost. At least I assume it's Sydney Airport. I can't imagine Bec going overseas specifically to shoot a video in an airport. You can see the video below:

Overall, Bec shows us what pure, fun pop is all about!

I pray to God on a daily basis that The Bec will release a followup album, but since Lleyton seems to be the kind of person who likes to be in control, I very much doubt this is going to happen. Perhaps one day she'll return to Home and Away!

Flop Tart Natalie Imbruglia - First look at her new movie

HER hair might be a mousy brown mess and in need of deep conditioning, but Natalie Imbruglia's role in South Australian-made movie Elise is still likely to turn heads.

The first official picture of the new-and-improved, twice-as-serious Imbruglia has been released ahead of a marketing push for the Cannes Film Festival next month.

Given that work is continuing on the film's editing and soundtrack, it's unlikely that the production company, Essential Pictures, will be showing anyone more than a few clips of the $2.4 million movie at Cannes.

But it'll be hoping Imbruglia's popularity as a singer helps it stitch up international deals.

Elise is an adaptation of Adelaide author Georgia Blain's novel, Closed for Winter, and was shot over five weeks late last year.

Imbruglia plays the withdrawn and quiet Elise Silverton.

It has emerged today in a Melbourne newspaper, that the outburst by Kyle on Sydney radio the other day may very well have been prompted by the rumour circulating that Rove had a brief fling with Tamara "Splinter" Jabar before Rove hooked up with Belinda Emmett! Of course, this claim comes from a "source" close to Rove who of course denies any kind of relationship with Tamara (I would too...), and Kyle claims that Tamara is not the reason why he dislikes Rove so much.Kyle reckons it's because he (Kyle) made a comment at one point he wanted to do a late night TV show and as a result Rove instantly disliked him. I'm sure that's reason enough to dislike someone. Maybe Roves thinks the same as the rest of Australia? Kyle's a fuckwit that NOBODY likes. Personally I'm sure Tamara doesn't like him much, except that maybe he's a dynamo in the sack or is really good at oral?

Rove on the otherhand is too much of a gentlemen!

Dannii's Club Disco - Released May 3rd! Central Station Records Confirms!

Nathan Confirmz is wrong yet again, and as usual he tries to tell you otherwise. According to CS, the release date is officially May 3rd. I love Nathan really, but at the end of the day I think he needs to try and remember that all he is is Dannii's webmaster, NOT her manager, NOT her PA, her webmaster and a good friend. If he wants to be more influential, I suggest he goes and talks to William Baker and see if he can get some ideas.

However, back to the topic at hand. It's going to be quite an exciting couple of months for Dannii, at the moment she's off wandering around China somewhere, last week she was seen with her tits hanging out while in America joining Kylie on the promotional trail for her album X, PLUS when Dannii gets home to Australia, not only has she got a new album out, she's going to be a busy little beaver by going on the promotional trail, performing on national TV (rumoured to be the finale of It Takes Two AND Dancing With The Stars and singing the Livvy classic, Xanadu) but it's not all, she'll be back reprising her role as judge on the craptacular TV Show 'Australia's Got Talent'

PHEW! Dannii's going to be such a busy girl she's gonna need 6months holiday after all this!

They went to the same church in Adelaide and both went far in Australian Idol, now Guy Sebastian has personally selected Idol loser Matt Corby to sing at his wedding, when he weds longtime girlfriend Jules in the next month.

I'm sure the night will be filled with church hymns, and good on them, each to their own, at least they're not in your face about their religion. Although I still don't buy the fact that they're still virgins... come on, seriously!

Who Killed Sam Holden?

It's been no secret that I've always been a Neighbours girl, as opposed to Home and Away, however, this year I've gotten addicted to Home and Away, because lets face it, I think the whole of Australia wanted to find out who Milco really was. As a result, I'm now more addicted to Home and Away, than Neighbours and don't really find myself too distressed if I miss out on the latest going on in Erinsborough. The same can't be said for the latest happenings in Summer Bay, however, and even though I now know who/what Milco is and Sally has left- there's nothing I love than a good murder mystery!

So far there's the three main suspects...

- Jack Holden (the husband): OK, so his wife hid the guy who tried to kill Sally, lied about it, then when he tried to attack a couple of people, she belted him over the head with a cricket bat and then while he was lying in a hospital bed she poisoned him (I guess working in a hospital has its advantages). To make matters worse, Sam threatened to tell the police about how Jack stole evidence to protect his ex-wife Martha!. Did Sam forget that Jack IS a police officer? or is that the whole intent? to ruin his career?

- Martha McKenzie (the ex-wife): so it's blatently obvious Jack is still desperatly in love with Martha, and if I was Sam I'd be pretty pissed off to knowing my husband is still pining for his ex and probably thinks about her while we're having sex. And it's obvious that Martha still loves Jack as well... did she kill Sam in order to save herself? or is it to save the career of the man she truly loves?

- Jazz Curtis (the friend) so Jazz wanted to get into whats-his-face's pants and enlisted the help of Sam to make sure it happened. Of course it didn't happen and I'd be upset about that. Could Jazz be capable of killing someone for a couple of hundred bucks? Jazz strikes me as the kind of person who'd fret if she broke a nail, so I don't really see that happening!

The plot thickens, and to be honest I'm expecting this storyline to be a complete fizzer, but still it makes for fantastic viewing!

Lara Bingle stops traffic- in more ways than one!

One now assumes Lara Bingle doesn't know how to fill up her petrol tank, after it was revealed in today's newspaper that her car ran out of petrol while driving along a busy Sydney road.

Things get better, as Lara rings fiance and Australian cricketer Michael 'Pup' Clarke to come and help her out. Clarke, 27, went to a petrol station and bought fuel and a jerry can and returned to the model's car to fill it up.

All the while Lara stood, watching with her arms folded and after the car still failed to start, she continued to stand here as poor Clarky had to push the 4-wheel drive down the middle of a busy road! At least this picture shows he was putting his cricketing training to good use and received a little help with some of the locals!

Witnesses claim Pup didn't look too happy, and afterwards, both were seen driving off in opposite directions.

Michael and Lara might be Australia's answer to Posh and Becks, but thankfully Posh has the brain capacity

Well blogging seems to be all the rage, so I figure what better way to do a blog than taking the piss out of my favourite Australian celebrities! YAY!

For those who don't know me, my name is Natalie I'm 25 and I live in the land downunder. Melbourne to be exact!

I don't really know what else to add here, but hopefully you find the Australian celebs as trashy as I do, and if you're not from Australia, well I hope you enjoy reading all about them and fall in love with them like I have.
